Rooted
Rooted combines a love for texture and color. With its cozy length
and twisted cords, this versatile cowl can be worn with the cords pulled snug against chilly winter winds or down over your shoulders as a capelet. The slipped stitch pattern produces a texture reminiscent of woven cloth. Rooted is knit in Timber and Twine naturally-dyed Harvest Wool - a 100% merino wool from Australia, dyed with plants, fruits and flowers in India by a family who has been dyeing with traditional techniques handed down for centuries. The results are a stunning array of naturally dyed yarns sustainably made and rooted in tradition

Rooted is one of 6 accessory patterns in The Wool Project collection e-book. The Wool Project is more than just a pattern collection. It’s a catalyst to spark your journey of exploration through the wonders of wool. Each of the patterns in The Wool Project was chosen to showcase a particular breed-specific wool yarn; to give knitters a taste of the distinct characteristics of each sheep’s fleece transformed into a beautiful skein of yarn.
