Cables at the brim of this hat keep it fitting snuggly, and working the rest in ribbing is easy to do. Scarf is written as muffler size, but just add more ribbing in center to make a longer version.

Note: scarf and hat are worked holding 2 strands fingering weight yarn together throughout. A DK weight yarn held singly could substitute.
