This pattern is knit flat, cuff up and the colourwork is worked intarsia.

Apologies, there is missing piece of info on the written instructions for the mitten decreases. The first line should read K1 K2tbl K 11 (14, 17), K2tog K1, repeat. 32 (38, 44) sts.
Then it continuesK1 K2tbl K 9 (12, 15), K2tog K1, repeat. 28 (34, 40) sts, decreasing by 4 sts every row.
