This jacket was inspired by one that Beryl and Lindy at Tricoter in Seattle made, who in turn were inspired by a kimono designed by Carol Lapin, CC Conway and Nadine Shapiro that was featured in Simply Knit 3. The Tricoter version was the first jacket that I observed on many different bodies, looking great on all of then. Here I have taken the basic shape and concept and added a sampler of textured and slipped stitches to the mix. The stitches serve to randomize a variety of coordinating hand-dyed multicolors, which are further enhanced with judiciously selected sandwashed solids. Oh, the possibilities!
