I created this pattern out of a need for a great sock pattern that I could make for gifts that didn’t require carefully captured measurements from feet all across the country. I couldn’t find anything that really fit the need except for basic tube socks but they never feel good on. So I thought about different stitches that I could combine in order to create something that would naturally work with the shape of a foot.

I created it for gift knitting but I’ve fallen in love with it for my own personal sock knitting. These are SO COMFORTABLE!

This pattern is like magic! The front panel bends with the ankle and the back side stretches with the heel, no matter how high of an instep you have. This worsted weight version (fingering version and other weight versions are to come) is great as a house sock, or worn in roomy boots. They will keep your feet toasty when the air is chilly. (But honestly, who want’s to cover these beauties with boots anyway, lol)

I gave these out as holiday gifts. The recipients as well as my testers are LOVING these socks.

XXS (toddler) about 50g stroll yarn
XS (child) about 60g of stroll yarn
S (adult small) about 65g of stroll yarn
M (adult medium) about 75g of stroll yarn
L (adult large) about 80 of stroll yarn
XL (adult XL) about 90 of stroll yarn
XXL ( adult XXL) about 95 of stroll yarn

I include extra for cushion so you aren’t playing yarn chicken.
