• 17 (20, 23)” ribbing stretched
• 8 (12, 16)” ribbing unstretched

Materials:
• Hat OR Mittens: 1 skein (150 yards/100 grams) EACH of MC and CC Malabrigo Twist (100% Merino)
• Both: 2 skeins EACH

Sample Colors:
• Main Color - 611 Ravelry Red
• Contrast Color - 63 Natural

Needles:
• size US 6 (4 mm) short circular
• size US 9 (5.5 mm) short circular, or size needed for gauge
• size US 9 (5.5 mm) double-pointed needles for crown

Extras:
• 1 stitch marker for hat
• tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge: 18 sts and 22 rows over 4” on larger needles and in pattern

Notes

When working the Hat you may wish to lessen the jog that naturally forms when you change colors in the round. I have done this by knitting into the stitch below on the first stitch of the second round of a given color (this occurs on the first stitch of Round 2 and Round 7 in the Charts.)
