REVISED WITH HELPFUL INFO FOR NEW LACE KNITTERS
USE LACE WEIGHT YARN FOR FALL/WINTER WEAR

Show off your knitting skills with TWO cool neck scarves - one 45 degree scarf and another 30 degree scarf. These mini-shawls are perfect ‘show-offs’ for topping t-shirts - even on hot summer days when wool knits have been packed away until cold weather!

This is an EASY pattern - even suitable for beginners, since there are extensive instructions, with photos and tips. The mini-shawl is knit SIDEWAYS - until it’s the length you want - so the only measuring you do is ‘around your neck’.

Knit with an inexpensive cotton thread, and highlighted with beads whose colors can blend with the knit shirts in your wardrobe, this is a lacy piece of ‘neck decor’ that is comfortable to wear - any time of year!

There is only one size - the one that you want. The unique design knits the mini-shawl SIDEWAYS - so you start with 4 sts, and keep knitting, until it is the length you want.

EASY lace pattern requires only these sts: k, p, yo, k2tog, ssk. The stitches and patterns are explained, with suggested beading placement. The lace is so easy, you can memorize it quickly, and have no need to refer to the pattern if you’re ‘knitting on the go

Special instructions on how to make the ‘Beaded Shawl Pin’ are now included in the pattern.

Materials needed: one skein (about 350 yds) of size 10 crochet cotton - or a lace weight yarn. For the longer version, you’ll need two skeins, or about 600+ yards. Size 3US/3.25mm circular knitting needles - bamboo suggested. A tiny beading hook (see above) or a crochet hook size 14/.75mm or smaller. Two markers, a knitting row counter. Size 6/0 beads, 300-600, depending on shawl size. If using lace wt yarn, yardage is about the same.

A separate package with 2 tiny beading hooks, instructions on use, beading information PLUS shawl pin kit (no beads), is available for $5.99 http://www.ebay.com/itm/162648497426?ssPageName=STRK:MESE...
