The Take Your Vitamins Shawl is the second shawl of the It’s all relative collection. It was inspired by my mother, Helena, the most caring person I know. She made her life’s work to dedicate herself to others mental and emotional health and well-being. She is a psychologist, specialized in family therapy, and an amazing person to talk to and confide in without fears of being judged. This shawl was the hardest for me to design, being so close to home and my heart, it was difficult to translate my gratitude and my love for her in one knitted piece.

The shawl is worked top down, in a combination of garter stitch and eyelets in a crescent shape, finished with an edge worked sideways.

Approx. 150 cm (60 in) wingspan x 45 cm (18 in) depth

MATERIALS
Yarn: approx. 460 m (500 yds) DK weight yarn (sample features Pastorcita 100% wool, in colorway 02)
Needles: 4.50 mm (US 7) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: tapestry needle, scissors, blocking tools

GAUGE
19st x 38 rows in 10 x 10cm (4 x 4 in) in garter stitch after blocking.
