Tea Time Frock, #1397. Our little Victorian miss is having a tea party with her favorite Teddy Bear. Crochet pattern leaflet includes instructions to make the dress, pantalets, shoes, and purse, with instructions given for sash and hair bow made from organza or any sheer fabric. Uses an assortment of cabled cotton (or substitute worsted weight acrylic) with trim and shoes in perle cotton (#10 can be substituted); purse made from sport weight chenille and metallic Gold Rush. Fits 18” American Girl Dolls, Springfield Dolls, Goetz Dolls or dolls of a similar size.

Materials: Sizes G and E hooks and size 7 steel hook or
sizes needed for gauge; one 3/4” white ribbon rose; rose
ribbon--20” of 1/8” and 30” of 1/4”; 2” diameter rubber
band or 1/4” elastic cut to size with ends sewn tog; four #3 snaps; 1/2 yd. 45” wide organza or sheer fabric; worsted weight mercerized cotton yarn-300 yds. rose pink, 150 yds. white; #5 perle cotton--200 yds. white, 100 yds. rose pink; 20 yds. Gold Rush 14 metallic yarn; 30 yds. pink rayon sport weight chenille yarn. You may substitute #10 thread for #5 perle cotton as long as correct gauge is obtained. If you can’t find worsted mercerized cotton, you may substitute one of the thinner worsteds, such as Caron’s Simply Soft.

GAUGE
With G hook and worsted weight: 4 sts and 5 sc rows or 2 dc rows = 1 inch.

With E hook and chenille or metallic: 5 sc and 5 sc rnds = 1 inch.

With size 7 steel hook and #5 perle cotton or #10 thread: 8 sc and 9 sc rows = 1 inch.
