This shawl pattern was designed both by myself and AJ Atwood. It was designed so that a beginner + knitter could learn how to make a vortex shawl, with an easy stitch pattern, making the shaping easier to learn.

To enhance the shawl, a Shetland edging was added at the end, fooling anyone into thinking that you are a much more experienced knitter than you are, as it looks so professional.

The stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming basic knitting, purling, and increasing skills)

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Aaron Atwood, who can be reached at: eochdubh.pooka !at gmail.com. The shawl was knit in Mrs. Crosby’s Hat Box yarn, in colorway, Wild Huckleberry.
