The Sea Ranch Shawl
The Sea Ranch Shawl. A simple cozy triangle shawl with an optional crocheted border made with a gorgeous bulky yarn and large needles using garter and stockinette stitches. I used Malabrigo Chunky and Malabrigo Mecha; this would also be great in Madelinetosh Tosh Home or ASAP, with a Tosh Vintage Border.
If there is one place on earth that was made for good times with family and friends, rejuvenation and relaxation, and big comfortable knitted garments, it’s The Sea Ranch. Formerly a sheep ranch on the rugged Northern California coast, The Sea Ranch is a quiet, peaceful vacation spot, with black and white sand beaches and lovely homes designed for minimal impact on the natural surroundings. It’s stunningly beautiful. I designed this cozy shawl over a brisk New Year’s Eve weekend, surrounded by treasured friends and family. Every trip feels like coming home.
