Needles Size 8 (5 mm): 16” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Marker (m); 3 removable m; spare size 8 (5 mm) or smaller 16” cir needle; size K/10.5 (6.5 mm) crochet hook; smooth waste yarn in contrasting color; blunt tapestry needle.

Gauge 14 sts and 21.5 rnds = 4” in garter basketweave patt.

Notes This cowl begins with a provisional cast-on and is worked circularly to form a wide tube, then the ends of the tube are grafted together.
