Separated from Middle-Earth by the Belegaer Ocean, the Undying Lands were home to immortal Elves or those given the gift of Valar. Also known as Valinor or Aman (“land that is not touched by evil”), mortal creatures are not welcome unless given rare permission. At the conclusion of the trilogy, Gandalf, Galadriel, Frodo, and Bilbo are given passage, followed many years later by Sam, Legolas, and Gimli because of their assistance in destroying Sauron. Though mortals are not granted immortality upon entering this mysterious realm, they are given the privilege of living out their days in peaceful paradise.

The perfect project to cozy up under while watching the trilogy or reading the books, this large throw is worked flat back and forth in rows. Beginning with a garter border, an alternating garter and stockinette lace leaf motif runs vertically, creating a waved edge on all sides. Knit with squishy yarn on large needles, this throw is as snuggly as mithril is strong.
