Inspired by the yarns, Van Gogh’s painting, and the lyrics of Starry, Starry Nights, Vincent’s Stars is a sweeping asymmetrical bias shawl.

The night sky fades from light to dark in the striped section, and the textured “star” sections transition from dark to light, fading in intensity as the night sky lightens towards dawn.

The sample shown is worked in Many Midnights (Main Color, dark blue), and Starry Night (Contrast Colors, gradient kit). Kits for the shawl are available through June Pryce Fiber Arts.

The finished measurements are a wingspan of 58” after blocking, and a center back of 20” after blocking.

You will need a US size 5 (3.75mm) 32” circular needle.

Thanks to Lisa for tech editing, and to Cheryl for her beautiful, inspiring yarns.
