This pattern is for a pair of lace socks that are adorned by Japanese cables.. The lace is also ai Japanese stitch that is just perfect for socks. The cables add some elasticity. Combined, there’s enough “give” to make them comfortable, and long wearing.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting and purling, lace knitting and cabling).

Both stitches are both charted and written out.

This pattern is written for 2 circular needles and is written for sizes Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large, and is sized by gauge

The sock pictured here was made with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock yarn, in colorway, Curie.

The socka shown in the sample was expertly test knitted by Emily Fleet who can be contacted at knitasheep@gmail.com.
