This is a chart for the flag of the Welsh Dragon (Y Ddraig Goch) which can be made as an afghan block, a washcloth or as a motif however you wish. The photos show it worked up as a block to use in a baby afghan.
The chart is read right to left, with odd rows being worked in knit and even in purl. Colour changes happen on each row.

The block took me about 3 hours to knit (with toddler distraction!) and in the blanket I worked I used 3.5mm needles and DK yarn. However, the chart is designed so that it can be used with any yarn weight and needle size so that it can be incorporated into any item desired!

This pattern represents many hours of charting and testing, both by myself and other test knitters. It violates no copyright. Please link your projects so others can see! Many thanks!
