What do you do with leftover yarn? Accessories, such as hats are an obvious answer! After making the Bitterroot and Hedgerow Cardigans, I had over a full skein of each color left over, and decided to create two versions of a hat that would coordinate with the Bitterroot Cardigan.
Worked in the round from the bottom up, cables are combined with seed stitch to create these variations on a theme.
If you want to make Hat 2 using only one skein (the gold version), just work a ribbed brim of 2” (5 cm) and don’t fold it up.
Finished Measurements:
Circumference above the Brim: 15 1/2 (19)“ / 39.5 (48.5) cm
Length: 8 (9 3/4)” / 20.5 (25) cm
Yarn needed:
117 (181) yds / 107 (166) m
Color: Dusty Rose #10197 (Pomelo #10200), 1 (2) skein(s)
