There’s nothing quite like the sound of a wolf howling to the full moon. It’s a lonely sound that often brings chills up the spine of any creature that hears it. But not me. Believe it or not, I used to fall asleep to the sound of wolves howling. I know it seems anti-intuitive for the call of a predator to be calming, but there you have it. I wonder if I would feel the same if I heard their call while on a camping trip? Hmmmm.
Now you can bring the beauty of a howling wolf into your home by making this double knit potholder. Maybe you’ll be reminded of its eerie, yet somehow soothing call. If you’re unfamiliar with double knitting, this small potholder is a great way to learn this knitting technique. Both sides are the same, except with reversed colors. You’ll get the accomplishment of finishing a beautiful project and the confidence of adding a new skill to your knitting basket.
With this instantly downloadable PDF pattern, you’ll have all the help you need to get started!
This pattern includes written instructions, a chart, and links to video tutorials for the invisible cast on, invisible bind off, slip stitch edging, and I-cord loop. You’ll end up with a professional looking finished project that you’ll be proud to give as a gift or keep and put on display.
