Yarra Valley Cowl
Two rich shades of worsted-weight wool alternate between shells and straight single crochet. This extra-long cowl is worked flat and seamed, but this step could be skipped to make a scarf. Choose colors from the same family as shown, or go for shades that are highly contrasting, complementary, or whatever you desire!

Finished Size 8” wide and 36” long, assembled.
Yarn Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted (100% wool; 220 yd 201 m/3½ oz 100 g): #12293 burgundy (A), 2 hanks; #12170 madder red (B), 1 hank.
Hook Size I/9 (5.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Yarn needle.
Gauge 5 shs and 10 rows = 4” in patt, blocked.
