Gauge: 22 sts & 32 rounds = 10 cm / 4” over stocking stitch on 4 mm needles after blocking. 15.5 sts & 26 rounds = 10 cm / 4” over drop stitch pattern on 4 mm needles after blocking.
Needles: 4 mm / US 6 circular needles, 40 cm / 16” length AND 80 cm / 32” length AND needles suitable for working small circumferences

Notes: Yayoi is knit in the round from the top down. Yoke is shaped with a combination of increases and dropped stitches. After the body and sleeves are separated, short rows are worked to lift the back yoke for ease of wearing. Waist shaping is worked on the body, and hem, cuffs, and neckband are all finished with tubular cast offs.
