Iteration -- a repeating process, with each step bringing you closer to the desired result -- is found everywhere in knitting. It happens at the finest scale, as we work stitch after stitch, and on a slightly larger level as we complete pattern repeats, and again as we complete a single sock or glove or sleeve and begin anew on its mate, and yet again as we set aside one finished project and cast on for the next. “A Little Iteration” is also a play on the word alliteration, which I love perhaps more than I should -- not all of my designs have alliterative names, but more than their fair share do.
It is my hope that you will enjoy some of these patterns as you iterate your way through your own knitting journey. Here you’ll find well-crafted basics with solid explanations to help smooth your path, and some more developed interpretations with interesting detail and well-planned construction, and a few pieces that can only be described as quirky.
