According to an online Latin dictionary, a Basilium is a royal or princely ornament, or crown. What better way to ornament your feet than with golden crowns knit from uber-soft superwash Merino sock yarn. A lovely lace-and-bias cuff, sweet eyelets along the leg and foot, and ridged accents across the heel and toe make this a princely sock for a...

Knitting: Pullover
This pattern was the hybrid inspiration of stash busting, need for an easy-to-manage airplane project, and my desire to have a cowl-neck sweater. Since I couldn’t readily come up with a pattern from my copious personal collection, I made one up. I make stuff up a lot, but that’s a different Instagram account entirely.

Vault lights are those wonderful prisms you see embedded in the sidewalks of older cities such as Seattle. They were meant to provide light in the underground portions of the city before the advent of electricity. This hat’s colorwork mimics the close diamond patterning of the original pale lavender Seattle vault lights.
