Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This simple, yet elegant lace shawl is just right for a little extra warmth in the fall. Doubling as well as a lightweight, decorative scarf, the design itself has a nice symmetrical look with each side being a mirror image of the other. If you’re already a lace knitter, this is something that can easily be knit up within a few days for a quick...

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Filled with the color of nature, the windy and wobbly cables of these cuff-down socks remind me of the wildflowers growing around the monastery in Samokov, near Borovets in western Bulgaria. I don’t know if they’re as soft and squishy as the yarn itself, but they were definitely beautiful!

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These cuff-down socks use a combination of basic cables to add a bit of texture to this wonderful yarn, giving the colors an opportunity to speak for themselves in these quick-moving socks.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Combining a bit of lace with a bit of cabling makes for a nice and snug fit to this versatile hat that can be worn both with the edge rolled up or as a beanie. The silk in this yarn adds a luxurious touch and the gorgeous colors remind me of Herefordshire, England in full bloom!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Reminiscent of any woodsy area - especially from this past year’s winter - this small, yet lovely shawl incorporates a simple lace pattern as a scarf but is finished off with picot edge giving it a more feminine, ruffled look as an evening wrap.
Knitting: Mittens
Fingerless mitts option being added and will be available as an updated version to this pattern later this spring.
Crochet: Cowl
This loose, airy pattern is reminiscent of fish nets used by fishermen throughout the ages. And when I think of fishermen, I think of Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This fun cable pattern for some reason looks a bit wonky thanks to the way the repeated sections come together. It’s fun to work though and has a great look.

Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Winter is beginning to make itself known here in central Ohio. Whether we’re busy baking pies or watching a football game, we can’t help but notice a certain chill in the air. What better way to keep our hands warm on a cool day raking leaves, or while heading to our favorite cafe in the city, than by wearing these lovely and oh-so-soft fingerl...

Knitting: Chart
I charted out this design for my young nephew, Ben (7), who told me he wanted an OSU sweater for Christmas with a big Block O on it. “But,” he said, “it can’t just be a boring Block O, Aunt Heather. It has to be the kind with the leaf in it.” Well Ben – here you go!
