Kent Lace
Kent Lace is a lustrous 2-ply yarn spun from soft, squishy Romney wool blended with combed merino top. The resulting yarn is airy and light; knits up into fabric with a gorgeous hand for soft sweaters, scarves, and shawls. This wool is grown and spun entirely in America.

A Little Bit of History…
Romney sheep originated in Kent, England and were recognized as “Romney Marsh” or “Kent” in the early 1800s. Romneys adapted to the marshy, coastal area of Kent by growing long, silky wool to protect themselves from the damp air and harsh ocean winds.
England remained the largest exporter of Romney, but since the 1900s has been bred elsewhere and ours is entirely homegrown and spun here in the USA.
The Romney breed fiber is sought after by knitters and spinners alike for its wide array of natural colors. Given that we specialize in natural shades, we love the variety that this offers for our Kent line!
