Rohn Strong
Rohn Strong is a crochet designer, author, and somatic craft practitioner based in Raleigh, North Carolina. His work lives at the intersection of intentional making, nervous system regulation, and Ayurvedic wisdom — patterns and practices created to support both creativity and deep restoration.
He is the author of nine books, including The Punch Needle Handbook (Rowman & Littlefield) and Tunisian Sampler Blanket & Throw, and has appeared as a featured designer on the PBS television series Knit and Crochet Now!. A contracted designer for Lion Brand Yarn, Rohn’s patterns are rooted in the belief that craft should feel meditative, accessible, and beautiful.
Rohn is currently training as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor at The Ayurvedic Institute in Asheville, NC, and offers private somatic crochet sessions for makers navigating burnout, stress, and nervous system dysregulation.
