Denise Voie de Vie

Denise Voie de Vie

I’ve been into textiles … like … forever, and am especially into color. Otherwise, I’m just a single gal with a bloody, liberal heart who’s into wine, art, men and song (and not necessarily in that order).

I’ve written two historical crochet articles for Dora Ohrenstein’s site CrochetInsider.com. You can read the two crochet historical articles here - part 1 and here - part 2.

Also read in the August 2014 edition of iLikeCrochet.com my article Too Cool for (Stitch) School: Bobble, Puff, or Popcorn?, in the June 2015 issue Too Cool for Stitch School: How to Line a Bag, How to Carry Multiple Colors in Tunisian Crochet for the August 2015 edition, and Tunisian Crochet as Accent in the August 2016 edition. I also wrote an article on Baroness Raymonde de Laroche in the Fall 2017 edition of Knitting Traditions Magazine, and a subsequent blog post on the same subject right here on the Interweave blog in October, 2017. Along authorship lines, I have a second article on Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli in the 2018 Knitting Traditions magazine.

Additionally, I have a wee group under my Voie de Vie design name that shares current projects of all sorts, is known to have an a-long or two, fielded a Ravellenics team in 2014 and 2016, and at one point read/discussed 21st century fiction - it’s right here.

I’ve also got an online store! Buy hand-painted yarn, artsy yet functional stuff for your home here, as well as my soft-cover book, Leather, Lace, Grit & Grace.

And, of course, feel free to follow my intermittent Twitter feed or my photo stream on Instagram.

Please Note: All purchases are final; pattern support is available for any Voie de Vie Design store purchase (either purchased here on Ravelry or via my Payhip store).
