Hello,

I am Ildikó Strüning, the designer behind IlDikko Amigurumi Patterns.

Crocheting is not just a hobby for me, it’s a passion that allows me to craft unique toys, adorable amigurumis and heartfelt gifts. My ultimate aim when creating a new amigurumi figure is to bring joy to those who view my photos, crochet from my patterns, and especially to those who receive the finished figures as gifts.

Creativity has always been an integral part of my life. My journey into designing amigurumi began when my children started coming up with imaginative and sometimes quirky ideas for soft toys they wanted.
Formally, I am a mathematics teacher and a information scientist, having spent over 15 years working as a software engineer. After my third child was born, I found it challenging to balance work, family, and hobbies. Consequently, I made the decision to pursue my most beloved hobby, creating amigurumi designs under the name IlDikko. It’s hard to believe it has been more than 10 years since I made that choice.

Since then, there hasn’t been a single day where I’ve felt bored. I cherish every moment spent on my craft. I hope that my work has brought some joy into your life as well.
