How would I …?
For me, knitwear design often starts with that question. How would I make a mitten starting from the top? How would it look if that I-cord was in the middle instead of on the edge? How would I stop the fabric from curling? How would I make a whole project in the dark?

I struggle with the term “designer” because I associate that with the world of high fashion and that’s definitely not a world I inhabit. Like most of you, I knit in my spare time - after work, on the weekends, in waiting rooms, during meetings - ok, perhaps a little more than the average knitter. But I can’t seem to stop my brain from asking those pesky questions, and once asked, they don’t go away. I don’t have a lot of answers yet, but I keep finding interesting questions.
