Megan Kreiner
Started in 2012, the brands of MK Crochet and MK Knits feature the toy design work of artist, animator, and author Megan Kreiner. During lunch breaks and after her kids are tucked into bed at night, Megan picks up her sketch book (or iPad) and yarn and designs toys that encourage imaginative and safe play for children (and adults) of all ages.
Her crochet and knit patterns have been featured in numerous books, crochet and knitting magazines, crochet kits, and a series of Creative Bug video tutorials.
Megan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in computer graphics and animation from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and has worked in the feature animation industry in Los Angeles, California as an animator for studios such as Dreamworks Animation and Disney Feature Animation. Her film credits include titles like DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, and Trolls and Walt Disney Animation’s Raya and the last Dragon, Encanto, and Wish.
Megan lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband Michael, her children, James and Emily, and Olive the cat.
