Crochet this easy shawl to fit any size.
I used ww yarn and a 9 mm hook, or you could use 2 strands of double knitting yarn.

I began with chain 46, then worked one row of dc stitches, and 3 rows of grid. This sequence is repeated until the shawl is the correct width, 60 inches for a long shawl, and 40 - 50 inches if you want a shawl that just wraps around the shoulders, and clips to close it using a shawl pin, or even a fancy hair barrette.
