YOU WILL NEED:
Worsted weight yarn
6 mm hook for a 5 inch flower
4.5 mm hook for a 4 inch flower

YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW:
chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch to join.

Easy enough for beginners.
