Aestas is the perfect garment for chilly summer nights or warm autumn days. Although it was originally designed as a cotton summer sweater, it’s also perfect for winter if you use sport weight wool or acrylic yarn! The simple and romantic eyelet lace pattern adds an interesting touch to this airy sweater. Aestas is designed with Durable Coral - a lovely mercerized cotton yarn which is available in a wide range of stunning colors. This sweater has a simple yet unique construction: it consists of two panels, a front and a back panel, which are worked flat and later seamed together. The sleeves are created by casting on stitches using the knitted cast on. The sleeve length is fully customizable and can easily be adjusted to your own preference. Aestas is designed to have some positive ease around the bust (approx. 0 - 10 cm / 0 - 4 inches).

Choosing the right size is of utmost importance. Take your body measurements and choose the size that corresponds with them. The recommended ease for this design is approx. 0-10 cm (0-4 inches) of positive ease. The measurements below are the finished garment measurements, not your own. 3.5mm / US size 4 / UK size 9 knitting needles and a 3.5mm / US size 4 / UK size 9 circular needle (80 cm / 31”) for i-cord edges

Durable Coral, 100% mercerized cotton, 50g/125m/137yd

223 Rose Blush, 9, (10, 11, 12) 13, 14, 157) balls

Other tools:
