“Ajourette” is an asymmetrical, triangular shawl knit from side to side on the bias in one piece. It begins with a garter stitch on one end and finishes with a wide lace section.
Please note that lace section is charted only.

Materials:
* Any fingering weight yarn that knits up to gauge – approx. 560 yards (512 meters).

Please note that you can also make this shawl using two strands of lace weight yarn held together; however, you need to double the amount of yarn.

The samples are made with Sundara Yarn Fingering Silky Merino (50% Merino, 50% Silk) and Classic Elite Yarns Silky Alpaca Lace held double (70% Merino, 30% Silk).

  • US 4 (3.5 mm) 40” (100 cm) circular needle
  • Tapestry needle

One size fits all:
Finished measurements: length (outer edge): 78” (195 cm); depth (center): 17.25” (43 cm)

Gauge:
28 sts and 30 rows per 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch after blocking – save time by checking the gauge ♥
Gauge is not essential; however, with a different gauge, actual finished measurements and total yardage will change.
