This is a double-layered, double-wrap cowl knit in the round. The inner layer is dk-weight yarn in 5-by-1 rib and the outer layer is fingering-weight yarn in a cabled lace pattern, reminiscent of the mountain streams of the Blue Ridge. Long enough to wear as a single or double loop, you’ll have fun styling it in a variety of ways.

Size: Approximately 48”/ 125cm circumference and 7”/18cm deep after blocking, folded. See final picture for schematic.

Needles: US 5/ 3.75 mm and US 7/ 4.5 mm or sizes to obtain gauge; both in 24”/60cm - 42”/105cm circulars.

Gauge: 24 sts and 30 rnds = 4”/10cm with dk yarn and smaller needles in 5x1 ribbing (k5, p1), blocked but not stretched; and 25 sts and 32 rnds = 4”/10cm with fingering weight yarn and larger needles in cabled lace pattern, lightly blocked.

Yarn: 400 yards/ 366 meters of dk weight yarn and 400 yards/ 366 meters of fingering weight yarn.

Notions: stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle.
