Chelsea Yarns Advent 2022!

Apres Ski is a bandana-style cowl inspired by the Chelsea Yarns Advent. 25 colors of fingering weight are held together with one strand of luscious Suri and striped to create a cozy, squishy layering piece.

Construction Details
Cowl begins at the top center and is worked flat to the 24”/60 cm circumference. Stitches are then joined and worked in the round for the remainder of the cowl.

Techniques Used

• Triangular Shawl Cast On (video provided in pattern)
• Knit/Purl
• Yarn Over Increases
• Elastic Bind Off (video provided in pattern)
• Fringing

Size: Small/Medium, (Large/Extra Large)

Finished Measurements: 24”/60 cm upper circumference, 40”/100 cm (43”/110 cm) lower circumference, 24”/60 cm depth.

Gauge: 16 sts and 28 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch holding one strand of Glitter Sock together with one strand of Suri, using size needle to obtain gauge.

Needles: US 9 (5.5 mm) 24”/80 cm and 40”/100 cm circular needles or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Yarn: 550 (600) yards each of two strands of fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn. 25 total stripe colors are used.

In the sample, the Chelsea Yarns Advent 2022 Set – consisting of 25 mini skeins of Chelsea Luxe Glitter Sock (75% Merino Wool, 20% Nylon, 5% Stellina; 80 yards/20 g) fingering weight (CYCA #1) was held together with one strand of Chelsea Luxe Suri (74% Baby Suri, 26% Silk; 328 yards/50 g) 2 skeins.
