Ashes is worked seamlessly from the top down. First a heavy set of short-rows is worked back and forth to shape the V-Neck. Shoulder increases are worked every row (RS and WS) to final shoulder length. From this point front and back are worked separately back and forth to final armhole length. Back and front are then joined to work the body in rounds to the short-row shaped hem. Eyelet lines at both sides of the underarm add interest and a light tapered shaping to the body. Sleeve stitches are picked up around armhole opening to work the sleeves in rounds top down to the cuffs.
