Dress for cold weather in style with this ruana-type thread crochet shawl in fiery fall colors of black, red and orange. This versatile shawl can be worn in many ways, such as belted, straight or wrapped around the shoulders. It was created using two strands of size 10 cotton crochet thread held together for more dimension and added warmth. Rows of sc and hdc are worked back and forth, leaving a length at each end for fringe. It is only necessary to weave in the ends at the back neck edge. No sewing required! Skill Level: Easy.

Finished Size (not including fringe):
Small: 35” wide x 56” long
Large: 44” wide by 56” long

The small shawl uses approximately 4900 yards of black, 1400 yards of red and 600 yards of orange thread; the large shawl uses approximately 5900 yards of black, 1700 yards of red and 700 yards of orange thread.
