Autumn Harvest Shawl
Description
Do you feel the chill in the air? Wrap yourself in this lacy shawl as the weather cools down. Autumn Harvest is a symmetrical triangle shawl featuring a standard 3-stitch garter stitch edging and a unique design for the spine. Do you see leaves? Do you see arrows? Do you see shafts of wheat? What else do you see?
Materials
- Size 5 US (3.75 mm) one 40” (102 cm) circular
- Size 6 US (4.0 mm) 40” (102 cm) for a loose bind off edge
- Tapestry needle
- Splash of Color Yarns Platinum colorway Cranberry (463 yds/423m) - shawl shown in sample used 400 yds
- Stitch markers (optional but very helpful to track your progress in the lace sections)
- Blocking wires, optional but very helpful with the long edges.
Gauge
24 st per 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
The pattern is written to use a single skein of fingering weight yarn but if you’d like a larger shawl, you’ll need two skeins. I’ve included a table in the pattern showing how many stitches you should have at the end of each pattern repeat. The pattern contains both charted and written instructions.
