Crochet top down - no sewing leaves but instead tying their knots

First time I wore the shawl, immediately I was complemented by every passing person - everyone loves this Autumn Leaves Shawl.

Amazing looking shawl, easy to crochet and it is enjoyable while working, fun to crochet and beautiful to wear. Multi-size, I provided the measurements towards different sizes of this beautiful shawl.

Sizing: Shawl: width will depends on the number of leaves you want to have in a top row and it is approximate
Row of 16 leaves = width: 166 cm/64 inch; length: 117 cm/46 inch; number of leaves in shawl: 136 leaves
Row of 14 leaves = width: 147 cm/58 inch; length: 96 cm/38 inch; number of leaves in shawl: 105 leaves
Row of 12 leaves = width: 127 cm/50 inch; length: 84 cm/33 inch; number of leaves in shawl: 78 leaves
Row of 10 leaves = width: 104 cm/41 inch; length: 73 cm/29 inch; number of leaves in shawl: 55 leaves
Row of 8 leaves = width: 83 cm/32 inch; length: 63 cm/25 inch; number of leaves in shawl: 36 leaves
Row of 4 leaves = width: 41.5 cm/16 inch; length: 33 cm/13 inch; number of leaves in shawl: 10 leaves
Sizing: Single leaf – note that it is measured in a lest position, when attached as a shawl, the leaves will stretch a bit due to yarn weight and gravity.

  • Leaf: width: approx. 11.5 cm/4.5 inch x 13 cm/5 inch
  • Petiole: approx. 5 cm/2 inch

Materials: 17 leaves will make of 100g, approx. 280-300 m; light to medium weight, variegated with color for the looks – please refer to above calculations to determine how many leaves you will need.

Crochet hook: 3.5 mm
