This listing is for a PDF pattern for crocheted flowers and not physical items.
The tutorial will guide you in making 6 types of Irish roses along with several leafy accents.
The roses and leaves/accents can be used for numerous projects:
- to make jewelry and accessories (necklaces, brooches, headbands);
- as appliques (on pillows, blankets, hats and bags);
- home décor: buntings, wreaths, wall hangings, etc.
Yarn and hook: To get the best results and have a variety of roses and greens in different sizes, use different yarn weights. For the roses in this tutorial I used mostly sport and DK yarn with relevant hooks (sport yarn and a 3 mm (UK11) (US 10/3) hook, DK yarn and a 4.00mm (US F/ UK 8) hook). Left over yarn is great for these.
Stitches in American terminology: chain (ch), chain space (ch-sp), slip stitch (sl st), skip (sk), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), front/back post half double crochet (fp/bphdc), double crochet (dc), treble crochet (tr), 2dc cluster, 3 and 4-ch picot.
Other materials: Tapestry needle, scissors and (optional) pearl/glass beads.
