I designed this little Birdie for the top of my Granddaughter’s 1st Birthday Cake.

It’s more of a decoration than a toy, however if you omit the wire legs and crochet little feet and attach underneath, it could be used for a toy. It’s quite small.

I used 8ply(DK) yarn but you could certainly make it bigger by using your yarn double or thicker yarn. It could also be smaller by using cotton and small hook.

Similar to these are sold online as Wedding Cake toppers and are quite expensive to purchase.
