Use this simple crochet pattern to make a baby cocoon photo prop perfect for newborns! This unisex pattern includes instructions for both the cocoon and the matching hat.

This pattern is beginner friendly. The stitches/abbreviations used in this pattern include: ch, sl st, SC, SC2Tog, and DC. This project is recommended as a photo prop only. This is not in any way suggested for infant sleep.

This pattern requires approx. 200 yds. of a Category 6 yarn (Bernat Softee Chunky pictured). You will also need a 6.5mm crochet hook and an optional pom pom maker.
