This baby hat was inspired by the “Baby Booties” pattern designed by Susan Lowman (The Crochet architect). The booties and hat together could make a delightful Spring ensemble for the new little folk in your world!

The hat is worked primarily in half-double crochet from the top down to a lacy brim. A contrasting color of yarn is used to create an accent cord that is woven around the brim and tied in a bow.

Instructions are sized for Newborn, with some guidelines for changing the size provided at the end of the pattern.
