Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey! These knitted bacon and eggs make great toys, or you could use the fried egg as a pincushion, and the bacon as a bookmark! Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6)

Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; A few grammes in each colour

Tapestry needle, pins for making up, and a handful toy filling.

One size only - The egg is 10cm wide and the bacon is 17cm long.

For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and a little seaming to finish.
