This shawl embraces all that I love about Celtic knitting – cables and plaits and moss stitch galore.
I knit this using an Aran-weight wool directly from Ireland (my daughter brought it home from adventures in the Emerald Isle) in two colors: a blue-slate tweed with a hem in a green tweed, using about 360 yards of each.
Directions are charted and written out for this shawl that starts with a garter tab and then works its way to the self-bind off hem panel.
Lots of cabling to keep your interest PLUS a an organic bind off that lays nicely along the hem of this cozy, classic accessories.
