BATALLION
The Battalion hat is knit sideways and starts with a ­provisional cast-on. When the knitting is done, it is grafted together using ­kitchener stitch, which creates an invisible join. For a matching set, pair it with the Squadron ­mittens and Interceptor cowl.

SIZE
Approximately 23 cm high x 50 cm circumference when lying flat. It should have a certain amount of negative ease.

GAUGE
20 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm without blocking.
