DESCRIPTION
This easy to wear summer top is fun to knit and fun to wear.
It’s knitted up in one piece top down; You start with the neckline and work increases along the front and back panels as well as for sleeve (straps). The main part is worked in stockinette stitch and sleeves and centered front and back panels are worked in garter stitch. When you put sleeve strap stitches on hold you cast on stitches for the underarm curve and work front and back piece separately shaping the armhole curves with short rows. The body is finished with an i-cord bind off (or a few garter stitch rounds) after a hem in broken rib. At least you pick up stitches for the sleeve edge and work an i-cord bind off or a few rounds of garter stitch.
The sample on the pictures uses the i-cord bind-off for the hem and the alternative garter stitch bind-off for the sleeves.
