Difficulty: Intermediate, US terminology

Materials:
 4.00mm hook/G-6(US)
 4.5mm hook/7 (US)
 50g 10ply yarn/Aran or Worsted in
yellow and black
o I’ve used 10ply cotton from
Bendigo Woollen Mills which is
thinner than acrylic and wool. If
using a thicker yarn, I
recommend a larger hook
 Scissors
 Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:
 ch = chain
 sk = skip a stitch
 sc = single crochet
 dc = double crochet
 dc inc = 2 double crochet in the same stitch
 sl st = slip stitch
 .. = repeat the sequence between the square brackets
 (..) = repeat the space in brackets the given number of times

Notes:
 ch2 at the start of a row does not count as a dc. You will place the dc after the ch2 in the same stitch, this is to minimise
any gap after the ch2.
 This pattern is not worked in the round, at the end of each row you with slip stitch to the
first stitch of the same row to end the row.
 If you would like a larger bow, simply start with a longer beginning chain.
