The Birch Creek Bandana is a part of a collection put together by The Farmers Daughter Fibers. The collection is called Wisp. To purchase the whole collection, please purchase from here

You can purchase this pattern individually from my website and Ravelry store.

Originally, this design idea was planned as a large shawl, worked as a square, folded in half and worn as a triangle. I thought this could also work in a smaller version, like a bandana. This piece is very easy to make and wear; a goal of all September Knits patterns. The stitch pattern gives enough interest to keep going, but also repetitive enough to do while watching a show or listening to an audio book. This bandana version is worn folded in half (as a triangle) and easily tried in the back of the neck to secure. The two-color brioche and garter stitch makes for a reversible fabric.

Pattern Notes:
Birch Creek Bandana is knit from the bottom up beginning with an I-Cord Cast-On. There are two options given for this I-Cord Cast-On. The sample used the ‘Provisional Cast-On Using a Crochet Hook Method Set-up Option’. This bandana is worked back and forth utilizing soothing garter stitch and fun two-color brioche. Slip all slipped stitches purl wise. The shape of this accessory is a square. To wear this bandana, you will fold it in half on the diagonal to then tie around your neck. This accessory is worn like a bandana. An I-Cord edging is worked throughout so all sides of this bandana has an I-Cord finish.

Difficulty Level: Adventurous Beginner
Skills needed are: Two-color garter stitch, basic two-color brioche (brk/brp/sl1yo), working a large amount of stitches flat, I-Cord Cast-On and or/ Provisional Cast-On using a Crochet Hook Method, and I-Cord Bind-Off.
