Blackmail and Shadows Scarf
This scarf features wavy geometric shadow knitting to go along with the blackmail and subterfuge that abounds at the Galliano Club. Do the arrows point toward another body in the Mohawk River, toward the murderer, or toward the blackmailers? Have fun knitting illusions and shadows as the plot thickens…
This pattern is inspired by the second book in the Galliano club series (Blackmail at the Galliano Club) and is a continuation of the makealong and readalong hosted by myself, Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts, author Carmen Amato, and local dyer Maple and Barley Fiber Co. Kits with the books and all yarn, plus the pattern and extra goodies are available for a limited time at Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts.
You will need two skeins of worsted weight yarn in contrasting colors. The gauge for my sample is given, but in shadow knitting, the most important thing about gauge is to make sure your stitches are snug against each other. Looser knitters may want to go down a needle size or two.
Please note that with this type of knitting, you need to work 5 or 6 inches to begin to see the illusions appear.
